Pragmatic markers

As you know, improving our oral skills is one of the main goals of our school subject. Speaking a foreign language fluently takes time and lots of practice, and being able to sound natural when speaking it is quite hard, especially as the grammar of spoken English is quite different from the grammar of written English. One thing we can do is  to examine the linguistic forms native speakers use in speech so that we learn to identify some of  the most common markers of spoken language. This will enable us to find ways to incorporate some of these forms in our oral work. Click on this link to see a transcript of the video.
In addition, we have two more videos to work on at English Central, dateline by January 27th. Enjoy!
